Wycliffe Hotel Description This beautiful, comfortable, family run hotel is situated in a peaceful setting with its own garden for residents use. One of the very few in the area with a large, free, private off road car park.
Situated in the desirable west end of Folkestone overlooking Trinity Gardens and the picturesque Trinity Church, we are only a brief stroll from the town centre and the Leas promenade, yet the Channel Tunnel and Dover ferries are only 10 or 15 minutes away by car, making it ideal for anyone en route to the continent. Built in the 1890s as a gentleman's residence, this fine example of a Victorian house, updated and modernised over the years, still retains many original features. Evening meals are available in our licenced restaurant, they are all cooked to order to suit your individual taste, therefore PRE BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL to ensure that your selection can be met. We also have a residents bar and private garden for the comfort and convenience of our guests. We offer a warm welcome to all visitors, whether staying for a short break or looking for longer term residence, whilst working in the area. |

Folkestone also provides a variety of sporting facilities including golf at Sene Valley, windsurfing, fishing, bowling and horse racing.
Folkestone is ideally located to explore the Garden of England with the beautiful countryside and historic heritage. Visit the cathedral city of Canterbury, Rochester, Broadstairs and the Cinque Port towns. Other local attractions include Leeds Castle and Port Lympne zoo park. Le Shuttle and Seacat services operate from Folkestone to the Continent.

Windsor |
Located on the Kent coast, Folkestone successfully blends its role as a port and popular seaside resort. You can take a day trip to France by Seacat or ferry from Dover, or on the Channel Tunnel with your car. There is plenty to see in this historic area, including the cities of Canterbury and Rochester, and the famous Dover Castle. Folkestone offers golf, horse racing and a wide range of sporting activities at the Folkestone Sports Centre as well as the new coastal park area and spectacular views of the Channel and Romney Marsh from the North Downs Way and Saxon Shore Way coastal paths.
While there is ample free parking outside the hotel we are not able to reserve or guarantee spaces to any particular guest. However, a little patience in this matter usually means success or a member of the family being able to move our own vehicle.
Guests should note that whilst the hotel has a lift, there are two steps to a landing then four steps to the entrance of the building. Whilst we have made every endeavour to make the property accessible to all, it is impossible to add a ramp within the health and safety regulations, sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
